Aunt Shannon was hard at work this weekend - we are having a blues clues party for caydie in August and Shannon has decided she will make the cake. This was her first try and I think she did an awesome job! She will not tell me if the dog treats in the back ground ended up in the cake or not.......

So glad it is Friday! This has been a long week for a lot of reasons.

Caydie finishes her first week of her new preschool today. She is having a hard time with drop offs in the morning which means Momma is having a hard time too! Is there anything worse than having to leave your baby when she is begging you not to... She is having a good time other than the drop off part so hopefully in another week or so she will be happier when I drop her off.
Bennett on the other hand is loving the school camp. He is leaving Sunday for a week in AR - I don't know what Chris will do without him since they don't move without each other!

No big plans this weekend. I have a dentist app in the morning and then Caydie and I are having a girls day together while the boys do some work at the Mack office. Too hot to do much but I am sure we will hit the pool at some point. I will post new pics next week. Aunt Shannon is working on a special surprise for Caydie's b-day in August and I will try to get a few pictures of her progress!

Last night at the O'Brien House:

Caydie: I am a puppy and Cooper is a little girl. Can Cooper use the potty and I go outside to pee in the yard.

Last week she was a little boy and wanted to stand like Bennett does when she went to the potty......

It has been a while since I posted. We have had a few changes in schedules - Caydie started a new preschool this week and Bennett is going to the Summer Camp at Austin Peay. Caydie has a little more of an adjustment then Bennett does since he knows the kids at camp from school. Caydie is starting all over with new teachers and new kids. I took off Monday and Tuesday to help ease her into the new school and she did really good yesterday. When I left this morning it was a different story! I called back about an hour later and they said she was fine. Keep your fingers crossed that she adjusts quickly. She has such a hard time with things like this - brings out her aggressiveness as a defense. Her sleep issues have been worse the past few weeks and we have been up at 4 a few mornings this week. She goes to the neurologist on August 7th and hopefully we will get some answers then. She is wearing me out! Her therapy appointment went well this week. Next week is her last appointment on Mondays and we will switch to Fridays in July to be able to get OT and PT on the same day.

The kids are enjoying summer - the heat does not bother caydie at all. She would stay outside all the time if we would let her. Loves to play in the water. Bennett on the other hand takes the heat in small doses - just like his Mom! He is going to karate at camp this week. I would love for him to take up karate. We will see how he likes it... He is going to spend next week with mom in AR. I am going to post some recent pics of the kids.
