Bennett had his game last night and Chris thought he played pretty good! We don't keep score at these games (everyone is a winner). hehehe He has a PTO fun day at school today complete with bouncy things so I know he is having a good day. I got his kindergarten graduation pictures yesterday. He is such a big boy! The Petting Zoo came to Caydie's daycare yesterday and after she warmed up to the animals she even rode a pony so she a good time with that. The next few weeks will go by fast I am sure and then on to summer camp...

Bennett has another game tomorrow at 5 and then I think we are still on for the zoo Sunday. Chris and I have got to get our flower beds in order too. We pulled everything up last fall so we could start over this spring. Seemed like a good idea at the time.....Other than that I just plan on enjoying the nice weather and bring with my family. Have a great weekend!

The Easter Bunny came!

Easter goodies
Playing together

Caydie - her winning basket and certificate!
Bennett - excited by his Dad's hat washer thingy!
I was off yesterday to take Caydie for an OT eval to get her therapy set up for the summer. She gets her therapy through the Tipton County Preschool right now but when school is out she will not receive any therapy so I wanted something set up for the summer months. It will not be as much as she receives right now but it does make me feel better that she will be getting some! Right now we are good to go on PT and OT - speech is all we have left and then her summer schedule will be FULL! After our appointments we went to Target and Caydie did really well. She is having bigtime issues with not wanting to stay with me in stores and even bigger issues if I try to make her stay in the basket - hahaha! She did walk a little ahead of me but was really good about coming back when I told her she had gone to far. She of course got a little treat for being good and anyone who has a little girl cannot go in Target without picking up something cute in the clothing section. She got a very cute little outfit! We stopped by on the way home and checked Bennett out of school and spent the afternoon playing at home. The weather was nice but it was just too windy to go out for very long. I am excited that the weather will be in the 80's this weekend. I believe we will be hitting the zoo so we should have some good pics from that.

The kids are Always up to something so here is what I like to call "Seen and Heard at the O'Brien's"

  • Bennett asking me for more mac & cheese and when I apparently did not get it fast enough he says "you know Mom - that macaroni is not going to eat itself"
  • My all time favorite from Bennett when we are messing around "bring it on old lady"
  • Caydie crying in her room only to find out she was trying to crawl up on her little table beside her bed by using her babydoll high chair to stand in. Little did she know her wooden highchair was not strong enough for her. Needless to say we need a new babydoll highchair......
  • Caydie wanting to potty by herself (can't tell you how happy I am not to have to accompany her EVERY time she has to go!!)
  • Caydie talking to her Lovie - "Lovie - I love you and need you to go to school with me - ok Lovie - we go" So sweet!!

Bennett's first T-ball game is this week and we are excited! I have my team shirt with Bennett's Mom on the back so we are ready to go. He has games Thursday, Friday and Saturday so he will be worn out! Caydie has the petting zoo at school tomorrow and I really hope she enjoys it and is not scared of the animals. She loves her "play" animals so I am hoping she will have a great time.

Shannon and I are ready to go on our Etsy store. I am putting a link for the store on this site. We are just getting started so we will be adding more as we go along. We have tons of ideas (but not near enough time for them all!) But we would love for anyone following along to take a look and of course buy something!! Have a great day!!

Whew - tax time is over! I have not had a free minute during the day to blog so this will be a long update!

Lets see what has gone one over the past few weeks -

Caydie won the cutest baby contest and her preschool. She won a basket packed full of goodies and Bennett was very jealous. I will post the picture we used in the contest. Shannon and I went shopping a few weeks ago and bought her some new shoes and she will not take them off! haha - thank goodness they are cute. She has had a bad cold for over a week and has ended up with a nasty little sore under her nose from it. Poor little thing. She had 2 egg hunts at school (she goes to one school from 8 to 11 to get her therapies and then another for the remainder of the day) and 2 Easter parties so she did pretty good in the candy department.

Bennett is moving along with t-ball practice he has his first game next Saturday. He also got to have an egg hunt and party at school as well as his first school field trip. He went to the Zoo. Chris went with him and they had a great time. He only has a few more weeks of kindergarten - so hard to believe... He has been on Spring break for the past week. He had a dentist appointment Monday which he handled like a champ and is at my Moms in AR having a great time with his cousin Colby.

We had a very nice Easter. The kids got baskets full of goodies from the bunny and ate candy all day. The first words out of Caydie's mouth were "chocolate" and she proceeded to snack on chocolate off and on all day. Bennett got a DS game and that filled the rest of his day! We made cookies and cupcakes and cooked a ham for dinner - what more can you ask for. We are headed to AR tomorrow to spend the day at my Mom's and bring Bennett home - can't wait to see my little guy! Not sure what else we will have going on for the weekend since the weather is going to be bad but we will come up with something!

Shannon and I are moving right along on our Etsy store and I think we will have items up for sale by next weekend. We can't wait - we have talked about doing this for some time now and are finally ready. I have my first sewing project picked out and we are busy busy coming up with new things to try. We got our business cards yesterday and feel very official!
